Sportscaster Series #11 - #13 -- I Have No Variations

I'm combining sets #11 through #13 because I don't have any variations in these three sets.  I picked up these cards from many different sources and for most other sets I have different print runs.  Were these three sets different?  Is there a reason I don't have more from print runs "A", "B" and "C"?

For set #11 I only have cards with the blank print run from Italy.  I have them all but nothing from "A", "B", "C" print runs.

For set #12 I have all of the cards from the blank print run from Italy.  I also have three cards from print run "B" but they don't differ from the first print run.

For set #13 I have all of the cards from the blank print run from Italy.  I also have three cards from print run "B" but they don't differ from the first print run.

Does anyone have variations from these three sets?

Sportscaster Series #10 Variations That I've Found So Far

In Sportscaster Series #10 I have cards from print runs blank, "A" and "B".

For the first print run, I only have 13 of the 24 cards.  All of these were printed in Italy.  Is there a blank print run from Japan?  Yes, I found one with a blank print run from Japan.

I do have all 24 cards from print run "A" and "B" so I can at least compare them to the 13 cards in the first print run.  Here are the three back variations I've seen.

10-03   Nadia Comaneci - all three have different awards added.  It is also the only card past series seven that I have that was printed in Japan.
10-09  Mario Andretti - 'B' has added text and awards from 'A'
10-11  Wrestling - John and Ben Peterson - 'B' has added text
10-22  Nordic Skiing - Thomas Magnusson - 'A' and 'B' have added records??

Stay tuned for more variations.

Sportscaster Card Print Runs - blank, "A", "B", "C", Others?

Does anyone have details about the print runs of the Sportscaster cards?

Print runs are blank, "A", "B", "C" and maybe "D".  Are there others?

The packs (decks) are numbered 1-88 and 101-103.  I'm looking for a comprehensive lot of which packs and letter combinations exist.   Can anyone help?

I Opened My First Sportscaster Pack Since 1979

Some of the packs that I purchased had torn plastic.  I decided to open pack #21 because it was from set C.  I didn't have any of pack 21 cards from set C so I just added 24 new cards to my collection.

The cards came out looking great.  They are so sensitive.  These cards can't really even handle stacking and/or sorting.  They are as flimsy as photos, but the stories are great.

Since I am trying to get all of the variations documented in this set I compared this print run ("C") to the others.  I have every card from "B" so this was fairly easy to do.  I'm only missing one card from "A" and I have every card from the first run that is without a letter designation.

Only two cards from the "C" print run differ from "B".  Card 21-01 Olympic Downhill added the 1980 champion to the list.

Card #21-21 Weightlifting Records added new records.  Every version of this card varied from the previous one so I have four different versions of this card,

Hey - I Just Got a Few More Unopened Packs

I haven't seen any affordable packs in a long time.  I purchased a few last week.  Some had torn wrappers as seen in the photo, but that's okay.  I will probably open a few of them.

The set on the right is pack #21.  That includes cards of Don Sutton, Joe Rudi, Archie Moore, Sugar Ray Leonard, Stan Musial and Muhammad Ali.

The set on the left is pack #04.  This pack includes Bill Russell, Dave Cowens, Rick Barry, Johnny Bench, Dorothy Hamill, Bruce Jenner and Jonty Skinner, who is someone I worked with before.

I will post pictures of any of the cards if they look Mint once I free them from the pack.  These cards don't stay in great shape when they are stacked together.  The photos are easily scratched.

If anyone is interested in any cards from this set let me know and maybe we can make a trade.
